Synopsis
geographic nodal necrosis / geographic lymph node necrosis
- The necrotic area can comprised 50% or more of a cervical lymph node.
angiocentric lymphoproliferative lesions
numerous centroblasts
- The large lymphoid cells, including RS-like cells, are CD3-, CD5-, CD15-, CD20+, CD30+, CD45RO-, CD79a+, LMPI+, and EBNA2+.
immunoblasts
Reed-Sternberg (RS)-like cells
In situ hybridization study discloses that large cells are associated with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV).
