Definition: Splenic angiomatoid nodules as altered red pulp tissue entrapped by a nonneoplastic stromal proliferative process. The characteristic morphologic appearance, immunophenotype, and benign clinical course suggest that this is a distinctive nonneoplastic vascular lesion of the spleen.
