mediastinal desmoid fibromatosis
Desmoid tumor of the anterior or posterior mediastinum is very rare. Desmoid tumors grow infiltratively and the recurrence rate after operation is high.

Synopsis
* proliferation of spindle shape cells with collagen fibers * no cytologic atypia * no mitotic figures * tumor cells positive for alpha smooth muscle actin-positive, vimentin-positive and negative for CD34
