Eikenella corrodens

Eikenella corrodens is part of the normal flora in the human oral cavity and upper respiratory tract. It is most commonly found in the clinical setting of polymicrobial infections involving human bite wounds, head and neck infections, and periodontitis. On rare occasions, E. corrodens has been reported as a cause of gynecologic infections.
