 ovarian papillary serous carcinoma / ovarian serous carcinoma

  • Ovarian papillary serous carcinoma has fibrovascular papillae that are typically not hyalinized.
  • There is cellular tufting and budding.
  • Mitoses are more common than clear cell adenocarcinoma, and there is not hobnailing.
  • It is high grade (pleomorphic with nucleoli), or low grade (uniform cells +/- nucleoli).
  • IHC is positive for p16, ER, WT-1, IMP3, and p53.
