  Paraovarian cysts account for 10-20% of all adnexal masses and are relatively uncommon in children. They are more common in women 30 to 40 years of age.
  Paraovarian cysts arise from the tissues of the broad ligament, predominantly from mesothelium covering the peritoneum (mesothelial cysts) but also from paramesonephric (paramesonephric cysts or Mullerian cyst) and rarely mesonephric remnants (mesonephric cyst or Wolffian cyst).

  Female hypogonadism may be acquired or congenital.
  Etiology
  Inflammation, chemotherapy with cyclophosphamide or radiation may destroy the function of a cyclic ovary. Congenital ovarian hypoplasia may affect one or both ovaries and there may be partial or complete ovarian dysfunction.

• polypoid endometriosis

  The term polypoid endometriosis was first coined by Mostoufizadeh and Scully for an uncommon and distinctive variant of endometriosis with histologic features simulating those of an endometrial polyp.
  They also noted that this type of endometriosis may form large, often multiple, polypoid masses that not only simulate malignant tumors at operation but may also recur after operative removal.
