calcified cyt of the jaws
Examples
keratocystic odontogenic tumour (KCOT) or calcifying odontogenic cyst A calcifying cystic odontogenic tumor (CCOT) is a proliferation of odontogenic epithelium and scattered nests of ghost cells and calcifications that may form the lining of a cyst, or present as a solid mass. It was previously described by Gorlin et al in 1962 as a calcifying odontogenic cyst.

odontogenic cysts
25 March 2019WKP PO
Definition : Odontogenic cyst are a group of jaw cysts that are formed from tissues involved in odontogenesis (tooth development).
Odontogenic cysts are closed sacs, and have a distinct membrane derived from rests of odontogenic epithelium. It may contain air, fluids, or semi-solid material.
Intra-bony cysts are most common in the jaws, because the mandible and maxilla are the only bones with epithelial components.
That odontogenic epithelium is critical in normal tooth (...) -

Definition : The jaw is any opposable articulated structure at the entrance of the mouth, typically used for grasping and manipulating food. The term jaws is also broadly applied to the whole of the structures constituting the vault of the mouth and serving to open and close it and is part of the body plan of most animals.
In mammals, the jaws are made up of the mandible (lower jaw) and the maxilla (upper jaw).

spindle cell ameloblastic carcinoma
13 March 2017low-grade spindle cell ameloblastic carcinoma
Definition: Ameloblastic Carcinoma (AC) is uncommon malignant epithelial odontogenic tumour of jaw, with characteristic histologic features and behavior. Clinically, it has aggressive, infiltrative growth pattern with a distinct predilection for mandible. It exhibits histologic features of ameloblastoma and gets dedifferentiated overtime to culminate in carcinoma. Majority of the cases arise denovo (primary) and only few cases arise from a (...)
