The bioactive phospholipid lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) stimulates cell proliferation, migration and survival by acting on its cognate G-protein-coupled receptors.
Aberrant LPA production, receptor expression and signalling probably contribute to cancer initiation, progression and metastasis.
