SODs
Superoxide dismutases (SODs) are found in many cell types and convert superoxide to H2O2 (2 O2- + 2 H → H2O2 + O2).
SODs group includes both manganese-superoxide dismutase, which is localized in mitochondria, and copper-zinc-superoxide dismutase, which is found in the cytosol.
