chondroid lipoma

Chondroid lipoma occurs most often in the limbs as a subcutaneous lesion in adults and is characterized by an admixture of chondroblast-like cells, bland-looking lipoblasts and mature adipocytes in varying proportions.

Although these lesions may be mistaken for sarcoma by the unwary, they appear to be entirely benign with virtually no tendency for local recurrence.
