The SERCA Ca(2+)-ATPases (SERCAs) are intracellular pumps located in the sarcoplasmic or endoplasmic reticula of muscle cells. They are closely related to the plasma membrane Ca(2+)-ATPases, or PMCAs, like ATP2B1.
