VASPs

Regulation of cytoskeletal dynamics is required to coordinate cell movement, adhesion and shape change. The Ena/VASP protein family is thought to play an important role in linking signaling pathways to remodeling of the actin cytoskeleton.

Ena/VASP function might control actin dynamics. These proteins are linked to various signaling pathways.

The phenotypes of mouse embryos lacking all members of the Ena/VASP family reveals roles for these molecules in cortical development in brain.
