SMARCA5

Pathology

- A novel t(4;22)(q31;q12) produces an EWSR1-SMARCA5 fusion in extraskeletal Ewing sarcoma/primitive neuroectodermal tumor. (#21113140#)

- SMARCA5 could have a potential role in proliferation and malignancy in gastric carcinogenesis.

  • Higher immunoreactivity of SMARCA5 has been observed in gastric cancer samples than in normal mucosa.
  • SMARCA5 promoter methylation is associated with the absence of protein expression.
