regression in melanoma
9 October 2019Definition : Histologic evidence of partial regression is seen in 10-35% of primary cutaneous melanomas. In a small number of cases, melanomas regress completely after giving rise to nodal or distant metastases. In 5-15% of cases of metastatic melanoma, the primary tumor is never found, presumably due to complete regression.

Clark level
9 October 2019Clark’s level WKP
Definition : Clark’s level is a staging system, used in conjunction with Breslow depth , which describes the level of anatomical invasion of the melanoma in the skin.
Five anatomical levels are recognized, and higher levels have worsening prognostic implications. These levels are:
Level 1: Melanoma confined to the epidermis ( melanoma in situ )
Level 2: Invasion into the papillary dermis
Level 3: Invasion to the junction of the papillary and reticular dermis (...) -
digital papillary adenocarcinoma
20 September 2019Aggressive digital papillary adenocarcinoma ; digital adenocarcinoma PO
Definition : Aggressive digital papillary adenocarcinomas are rare malignant tumors often located on the digits of the hand. Due to lack of pain, slow growth, and an inconspicuous appearance, diagnosis is often missed or delayed.
Digital papillary carcinoma (DPC) is a rare, slow growing, malignant tumor with eccrine differentiation that occurs predominantly in digits. This tumor was originally classified as a (...) -
