duodenal polyps
11 May 2012Sporadic duodenal polyps
Sporadic duodenal polyps are uncommon, being found in up to 5% (0.3-4.6% of cases) of patients referred for upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. They are often discovered incidentally and the majority of patients are asymptomatic.
The most common lesions necessitating removal are duodenal adenomas which should be differentiated from other mucosal lesions such as ectopic gastric mucosa, and submucosal lesions such as carcinoids and gastrointestinal stromal tumours (...) -
duodenal hyperplastic polyp

Benign serrated polyps are commonly found in the colorectum but have rarely been described in other parts of the gastrointestinal tract. Hyperplastic polyps or sessile serrated polyps in the colorectum can be associated. (#21733555#)
In a study, no patient met the criteria for serrated polyposis. (#21733555#)
Although probably rare and of uncertain malignant potential, duodenal hyperplastic polyp should be considered in the differential diagnosis of (...) -
