solitary pulmonary nodule

A solitary pulmonary nodule (SPN) is defined as a single, well-circumscribed lesion evident on radiographic imaging and surrounded by lung parenchyma, that measures 3 cm or less.
A similar lesion that measures greater than 3 cm is classified as a lung mass.
