Definition: Gastric polyps are usually incidental findings.They may be neoplastic or non-neoplastic, with most (80% to 90%) being non-neoplastic.
Gastric polyps may be multiple or solitary, and some complicate polyposis syndromes.
The two main types of non-neoplastic polyps are gastric hyperplastic polyps and fundic gland polyps.

gastric Peutz-Jeghers polyp

Predisposition
adenomatous gastric polyp in familial adenomatous polyposis coli (FAP)
gastric Peutz-Jeghers polyp in Peutz-Jeghers syndrome
gastric juvenile polyp in juvenile polyposis
Cowden disease-associated gastric polyp
Cronkhite-Canada syndrome-associated gastric polyp
