cutaneous papillomatosis

Florid cutaneous papillomatosis is a rare paraneoplastic dermatosis, most commonly associated with gastric adenocarcinoma. It is characterized by a sudden onset of hyperkeratotic papules, clinically indistinguishable from viral warts.

The onset of this entity is typically prior or concurrent with the diagnosis of the internal malignancy, but it may also represent the first sign of recurrence of a previously treated neoplasm. Its early recognition is essential to ensure a thorough investigation and prompt treatment.
