Definition : The morphological diagnosis is the diagnosis of diseases and tumors by morphology , the study of morphological anomalies.
The study of a tissular cut on a microscope slide permits to identify morphological anomalies that are elements ( elementary lesions) conducting to the morphological diagnosis.
These morphological anomalies can be grouped in morphological syndromes.
The association of these morphological anomalies permits a morphological diagnosis. What makes sense is the association of these elements, that can be called a syntax ( morphological syntax ).
