Definition: Carpal tunnel syndrome is an entrapment neuropathy. Symptoms due to compression of median nerve by trauma, masses within canal (hemangioma , lipoma , ganglia ), rheumatoid arthritis , amyloidosis.
Risk factors include obesity, repetitive wrist work, pregnancy, and rheumatoid arthritis.
