Definition: In biology, an living organism is any contiguous living system, such as an animal, a plant, a fungus, or a bacteria.

During a disease , a component can be subject to morphological anomalies , than can be macroscoical anomalies or microscopical anomalies.
The function of this component can be altered , causing a pathological process .
