neuroendocrine cells in atrophic prostate glands

Thursday 30 August 2012

Neuroendocrine cells are seen in benign prostate, high-grade PIN, and cancer.

They are most abundant near verumontanum.

Many neuroendocrine cells with large eosinophilic granules (Paneth cell-like change) can be seen in atrophic prostate glands.
